 Pregnancy is one of nature’s most amazing gifts, and it should be treated as such. Pregnant women should be extra cautious about what they eat during their pregnancy.

Causes

Miscarriage has several causes. Chromosomal abnormalities in the parent’s sperm or egg cause about half of all losses in the first trimester, which can be genetic or spontaneous. Chromosomes are microscopic structures that carry many genes, which are the basic units of heredity, inside the body’s cells.

How It Occurs

 A miscarriage occurs when your embryo or fetus is spontaneously discharged from your uterus before you reach the 20-week mark of pregnancy. Heavy bleeding and stomach cramps will be present for a few days or longer. This could take a few days or up to three weeks.

Waiting for a miscarriage can be emotionally draining because you never know when it will occur. You’ll feel spotting and cramping at first, and then you’ll start bleeding profusely.

Here are certain foods to avoid like the plague, especially in the first trimester of pregnancy.

=>Crabs: Crabs are high in nutrition, however they cause the uterus to shrink. This may lead to vaginal bleeding or a miscarriage. Crabs contain a lot of cholesterol in them. Pregnant women with high blood pressure or pre-eclampsia should therefore avoid it.

=>Papaya/Pawpaw: Papaya, especially green papaya, is thought to be dangerous to pregnant women. Unripe papaya contains enzymes that can cause uterine contractions, which can lead to a miscarriage. Green papaya should be avoided by pregnant women since it triples the chance of miscarriage.

=>Pineapple: Pineapple juice should be avoided by women. The fruit may cause contractions, which may result in a miscarriage. Pineapple can also induce diarrhea or allergic reactions in certain people. It contains bromelain, an enzyme that softens the uterus and causes abortion. Pregnant ladies can indulge a little after the first three months.

=>Processed Meat: Pregnant women should avoid almost all processed meats, including filled dishes, sausages, and the like. Artificial flavoring and color may be included in the meat, causing harm to the baby. In addition, processed meat is kept in supermarkets for a long period, increasing the risk of miscarriage.

 =>Green Tea with Caffeine:

The harsh truth is that a cup of green tea contains 200g of caffeine. It gets into the breast milk and has the potential to harm the baby. Coffee should be added to the list of items to avoid while pregnant.

=>Wild apples are sour, bitter, and sweet in flavor. This is one of the reasons why they’re popular among pregnant ladies. They are, however, unhealthy. They have the potential to ‘excite’ the uterus, resulting in uterine contractions and miscarriage.
